I finally finished the first Order from Chaos sock:
I started it on 4/4/09. I finished it on 6/27. I think there a couple of reasons it took so long to finish. I made this my “take along sock,” so I was only working on it in the car or at lunch. The Knit Picks Essential yarn is very fine and it seems to take forever to get any progress with the 2.25 mm needles. The stitch pattern isn’t hard to do, but it is easy to mess up and I have to tink back. Finally, I made the leg of this sock very long–over 100 rounds before the heel, plus another 80 or so on the foot before the toe decreases. I think I’ll switch this to an “evening knit” and that attention should get the second one finished before 2010!
I don’t have a picture to share, but I’m very close to finishing my Holidazed socks. There is really no excuse to still have these on the needles, so I hope to finish them soon. It will be nice to have a sock FO; it has been a long time since that happened.
